The Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India (GOI) has established National Testing Agency (NTA) as an independent autonomous and self-sustained premier testing organization for conducting efficient, transparent and international standard test in order to access the competency of candidates for admission to premier higher education institutions.
NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY CUM ENTRANCE TEST (UG) 2021 (NEET (UG) - 2021) will be conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission to MBBS/BDS Courses and other undergraduate medical courses in approved/recognized Medical/Dental & other Colleges/ Institutes in India.
Section 14 of the National Medical Commission Act, 2019 provides for holding of a common and uniform National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) for admission to the undergraduate medical courses in all medical institutions including those governed under any other law. Thus, the admission to MBBS course in AIIMS, New Delhi, JIPMER and all AIIMS like Institutions will be made through NEET. The eligibility criteria applicable to appear in NEET (UG) shall also be applicable to the candidates desirous to take admission to INIs like AIIMS.
Similarly, the criteria for minimum qualifying marks to be eligible for admission to MBBS course shall also be applicable to INIs. Further, the common counseling for admission to MBBS course in these INIs shall be conducted by the DGHS as per the Time Schedule specified in the MCI’s regulations.The NEET (UG) - 2021 will be conducted on Sunday, second week September, 2021. The responsibility of the NTA is limited to the conduct of the entrance examination, declaration of result and for providing an “All India Rank Merit List” to the Directorate General Health Service, Government of India for the conduct of counselling for 15% All India Quota Seats and for providing the result to States/other Counselling Authorities.

Who is eligible for NEET 2021?

National Eligibility cum Entrance Test is the single entrance test conducted at UG level for admission to medical courses. The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (Undergraduate) (or NEET (UG)), formerly the All India Pre-Medical Test (AIPMT), is an entrance examination in India for students who wish to study undergraduate medical courses (MBBS) and dental courses (BDS) in government or private medical and dental colleges in India and abroad.
NEET exam is compulsory for study medicine in India or abroad.
The undergraduate NEET (UG), for MBBS and BDS courses, is currently conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), which provides the results to the Directorate General of Health Services at the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare . Prior to 2019, the test was conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) in partnership with Prometric Testing Pvt Ltd headquartered in the US.
NEET-UG replaced the All India Pre Medical Test (AIPMT) and all individual MBBS exams conducted by states or colleges themselves in 2013. However, many colleges and institutes had taken a stay order and conducted private examinations for admission to their MBBS and BDS courses.
NEET-UG is a single entrance test for admissions to more than 66,000 MBBS and BDS seats across India. In 2018, around 80% of the candidates wrote NEET-UG in English, 11% in Hindi, 4.31% in Gujarati, 3% in Bengali and 1.86% in Tamil.
After the enactment of NMC Act 2019 in September 2019, NEET-UG became common all India entrance test for admissions to medical colleges in India including the All India Institutes of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) and Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research (JIPMER) which until then conducted separate entrances.
The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (Postgraduate) (or NEET (PG)) is a qualifying and ranking examination in India, for students who wish to study various postgraduate Doctor of Medicine (MD), Master of Surgery (MS) and diploma courses, in government or private medical colleges in the country. This exam replaced All India Post Graduate Medical Entrance Examination (AIPGMEE).
The exam is conducted by the National Board of Examinations (NBE). The counselling and seat allotment is conducted by Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
Candidates studying in India, having Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree or provisional MBBS pass certificate as per Indian Medical Council Act, and MBBS registration certificate issued by the Indian or state medical council and have completed one year of internship or will be completing the internship, are eligible to apply for the exam.
The candidates having Indian citizenship, but have graduated from any foreign medical college, should qualify the Medical Council of India Screening Test (also called Foreign Medical Graduate Examination). They also need to be registered with Indian or state medical council and have completed one year of internship or will be completing the internship.
For foreign nationals, registration is necessary from the country they have obtained basic medical qualification. Medical Council of India (MCI) registration is not compulsory. Temporary registration might be given on payment of application fees.
KROK -1 2023
KROK is a Licensing Examination, an obligatory part of state certification for awarding the qualification of doctor or pharmacist. ... The first examination “KROK–1” consists of basic biomedical sciences, the second – “KROK–2” consists of the basic professionally oriented disciplines.
License exam is an obligatory part of state certification for awarding the qualification of doctor or pharmacist. Students who are preparing for the specialties "Medicine", "Dentistry" and "Pharmacy" pass two separate test exams - "Krok 1" and "Krok 2". The first examination "Krok 1" consists of basic biomedical sciences, the second - " Krok 2" consists of the basic professionally oriented disciplines. License exam is passed to determine the appropriate level of professional knowledge and skills of students in higher medical (pharmaceutical) educational institutions minimum needed level of qualification according to national qualification requirements.
Licensing exams are conducted according to the Statute of the system of integrated licensing examination specialists with higher education directions “Medicine” and “Pharmacy”, approved by the Ministry of Health of Ukraine of 14.08.1998 № 251 registered with the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine on 09.11.1998 № 563/3003; Statute on the organization and conduct of state certification of students approved by the Ministry of Health of Ukraine of 31.01.2005 № 53, registered with the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine 17.02.2005 № № 244/10524
Krok 1 is a general science exam, which is taken after the students complete the courses in basic fundamental sciences that are covered in the “Krok 1” Test-Based Exam.
It is held during the 3rd year of study. The “Krok 1. Medicine” is for future physicians, the “Krok 1. Stomatology” is for future dentists, the “Krok 1. Pharmacy” is for future pharmacists, clinical pharmacists, and technologists specializing in perfumes and cosmetics.
Minimum Passing Score
Currently, the minimum passing score for the “Krok” Integrated Test-Based Exam and English Language Proficiency Test that are the components of the Unified State Qualification Exam is as follows:

The “Krok 1” Integrated Test-Based Exam – 60.5 % of correct answers from their total number;

The Foreign Language Proficiency Test – 30.5 % of correct answers from their total number;
The minimum passing score is approved by the Ministry of Health of Ukraine (Decree №1455, adopted by the Ministry of Health of Ukraine on June 25, 2020).
All the students, who failed their “Krok 1” Test-Based Exam, can retake this exam. If a student fails to pass the “Krok 1” Exam during any of the subsequent retakes, he/she is to be suspended from the next end-of-semester exams and expelled from the higher education establishment due to his/her failure to complete the curriculum.
Exam Procedure
General Information
The Exam should be taken by the registered students only if their current health condition allows them to undergo testing.
To administer the Licensing Exams, the Testing Board makes and uses closed exam booklets in Ukrainian (for Ukrainian students) or Russian/English (for foreign students). The Testing Board can provide different examination booklets for different groups of students.
Exam Location
The Licensing Exams take place in the classrooms provided by higher education establishments, with no more than 100 (one hundred) examinees placed in one classroom. The number of examinees in one classroom must not exceed ½ of the seats in the classroom.
The classrooms, where the Licensing Exam is to be held, must be furnished with tables (desks) and chairs. They also must be equipped with a clock and audio and video surveillance systems that automatically record the Licensing Exam in its entirety, to ensure that the proper exam procedure is maintained. The surveillance recordings are then sent to the Testing Board for analysis. The representatives of the Testing Board and school, as well as an officer of the Department of Police Security at the National Police of Ukraine, must be constantly present in the classroom for the duration of the Licensing Exam. The school representative cannot walk the classroom and communicate with the students. Public observers can be present in the classroom during the Licensing Exam administration, on the condition that such public observers are properly registered using the approved procedure. Outsiders are prohibited from entering the classroom, where the Licensing Exam takes place.
The Licensing Exams can be held on the Testing Board premises for the schools, where the total number of the students, who need to take the exam, does not exceed 20 persons. Exam retakes for the students, who were previously suspended from taking the exam due to their violation of the Exam Procedure, can also be held on the Testing Board premises.
Student Identification
The students, who are to take the Exam, are identified based on their passports. The authorized school representative holds the responsibility for accurate identification of the students. The Testing Board representative holds the responsibility for accurate identification of the students during retakes of the “Krok 1” Licensing Exam.
Before Exam Starts The students must leave their personal effects in the place allocated for this purpose by their school. The school holds the responsibility for the safety of the stored personal effects. The students are to enter the exam classroom only in the presence of the representatives of the Testing Board, their school, and the Department of Police Security at the National Police of Ukraine. The students are admitted into the classroom and receive their exam materials only according to the list held by the Testing Board representative.
An officer of the Department of Police Security at the National Police of Ukraine uses a metal detector or other devices to detect any gadgets, forbidden in the exam classroom.
According to the Testing Board representative’s instructions, the students take their places in the classroom intermittently, with at least one seat remaining unoccupied between them. In this manner the students are consecutively seated row by row, leaving several rows free. The free rows are reserved for the reseating of the students, who during the exam need to leave the classroom. Before the start of the Licensing Exam, the Testing Board representative, the authorized person appointed by the Principal’s (Director’s) decree, the Head of the State Examination Committee of the higher education establishment (if necessary), and the Head (or Deputy Head) of the Student Parliament open the package with the exam materials in the classroom. They confirm the intactness of its seal in the presence of all the students and an officer of the Department of Police Security at the National Police of Ukraine.
Instructions for Students
Before the start of the Licensing Exam, the Testing Board representative informs the examinees about the Licensing Exam procedure. After that, each student is given a numbered exam booklet.A student must put his/her signature in ink into the “Additional Information” box on the answer sheet and enter the mandatory ID data and exam data. To personify the exam booklet, a student must fill in the boxes on the booklet cover with his/her identification code and surname and write down the booklet number into his/her answer sheet.
Exam booklets and answer sheets cannot be taken out of the classroom during the Exam.Testing The test for the “Krok” Exam consists of 150 questions. There are 99 variants of the test.
In the right part of the answer sheet, a student must write down the answers to the test tasks from the booklet. Only one best answer must be marked in front of each test task. Several answers or no answer will be considered an incorrect answer to the question. The oval corresponding with the chosen answer must be filled completely, so that its area is fully colored.
All test tasks have 5 or sometimes 4 multiple choice answers, from which students need to choose the correct one.
If a student answers all the questions in the booklet earlier, he/she needs to raise the hand and the proctor will come and collect the booklet and answer sheet.
Finishing the Exam Having completed the work with the exam booklet, a student must put his/her answer sheet into the exam booklet, hand them over to the Testing Board representative, and leave the classroom.
To ensure the transparency of the Licensing Integrated Examination and its results, a procedure of copying the answer sheets of the examinees can be conducted at the higher education establishment. After the Licensing Exam is complete, the school and the Testing Board are both authorized to request that the copies of the answer sheets are made.
If a Student Feels Unwell During the Exam If the student’s health condition becomes worse during the Licensing Exam, the Testing Board and school representatives must be immediately notified of it. If the continuation of the exam is impossible for such student, the Testing Board representative must discontinue the exam for the student and draw up the relevant report signed by the student and the representatives of the Testing Board and school.
